March Attack from Crusader Publishing

A Crusader Publishing ofereceu-me hoje a versão em PDF deste livro de regras (obrigado Mark), o que significa que vou ter leitura para mais uns tempos.

Esta oferta que muito me agradou, alimenta cada vez mais a minha avidez de leitura de livros de regras.

Como é evidente ainda não tive tempo de analisar com a devida atenção este conjunto de regras, mas à primeira vista gostei bastante da parte gráfica do texto, dos diagramas auxiliares e das imagens que o livro contém.

Nas pesquisas efectuadas na web sobre o March Attack, só encontrei observações e comentários bastante positivos.

Isto pode significar o meu regresso aos jogos deste período da história,  o limpar das armas e a poeira das minhas figuras napoleónicas em 20mm.

The Crusader Publishing offered me today the PDF version of this rule book (thanks Mark), which means I'll have something more to read.
This offer that much pleased me, feed even more my eagerness for rules books .
Of course I have not had time to make an detailed view of this rules set, but at first glance I really liked the graphical part of text, diagrams and auxiliary images that the book contains.
I've searched on the web about March Attack, and only found very positive remarks and comments.
This maybe means my return to the games of this period of history, and the dust cleaning from my 20mm napoleonic figures.

Humber AC - Comparison

Continuando a apresentação das ofertas que os vários fabricantes de miniaturas à escala 1/144 apresentam, chegou a vez do Humber Armoured Car da Wargames-South e da Pro-Hobby.

O modelo da  Pro-Hobby , foi repintado para ser utilizado no teatro europeu, dado que a pintura de origem tinha as cores utilizadas pelo 8º Exército em África.

Continuing the presentation of the many offerings that the various manufacturers of 1/144 miniature scale display, the time came for the Humber Armoured Car from Wargames-South and Pro-Hobby.

The  Pro-Hobby model, was repainted for use in the European theater, as the original paint color was used by the 8th Army in Africa.

Efeito Criativo - Exposição

A convite do Pedro Santiago, irei participar com alguns modelos da minha colecção, na exposição “Pikapedra – Efeito Criativo” da autoria de Pedro Santiago, cuja inauguração, para a qual estão todos convidados, será no próximo dia 06 de Janeiro de 2012, às 21:30, no Welcome Center da Cidade da Maia, sito no Parque Central da Maia, loja 19, piso 1.

Neste evento, também foram convidados para estarem presentes, os parceiros da Pikapedra, Afirma – Arquitectura e Design, o NME - Núcleo de Modelismo de Espinho e o CAM – Clube dos Amigos do Modelismo.

A exposição estará a decorrer de 6 a 29 de Janeiro, nos seguintes horários:

De Segunda a Sexta: 09:00 – 19:00

Sábados e Domingos: 09:30 – 15:30

Crusader AA Mark II/III Tank

Outro modelo fantástico e original da Wargames-South em 1/144.

Another nice and an original model from Wargames-South in 1/144.

The Anti-Aircraft versions of the Crusader were developed in response to the perceived need to counter German "tank-busting" ground attack aircraft. The first design using one Bofors 40mm anti-aircraft gun on a Crusader III chassis was unsophisticated in design and unsuccessful in application. The Crusader III A.A. Mk II was an improved design with an enclosed turret and twin 20mm Oerlikon cannon capable of firing explosive, incendiary or practice rounds at up to 450 rounds per minute. The main limitation was, once again, crew accommodation.

The Crusader III A.A. Mk III was the final version. It addressed the cramped crew conditions by adding a raised coaming at the rear of the turret. Crusader AA II and III vehicles were used in front line duties with British and Polish armoured units after D-Day. However, due to the effective air cover by the RAF they only saw limited action.
